Staff Analytics Engineer - Product Data Instrumentation

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Own event taxonomy, tracking plans, schemas, identity models, data models, and transformation pipelines.
• Ensure data quality through testing, validation, monitoring, and proactive issue resolution.
• Maintain warehouse structure, data dictionary, lineage, and data modeling best practices.
• Partner with product, analytics, and business teams to improve reliable self-serve metrics and insights.
• Improve developer experience by automating workflows and simplifying data discovery.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years directly owning event instrumentation and tracking.
• Experience designing event taxonomy and tracking plans from scratch and driving engineering adoption.
• Hands-on experience with CDP and product analytics platforms.
• Production fluency in at least one listed programming language for reviewing tracking pull requests.
• Expert SQL, hands-on dbt, and high-volume event modeling in a columnar warehouse.
• Working knowledge of streaming architecture, including delivery semantics, idempotency, deduplication, and late-arriving data.
• Experience with server-side tagging, consent management, privacy regulation, identity resolution, sessionisation, and cross-platform stitching.

Nice to Have

• Proficiency working in Arabic.
• Experience in the GCC or in e-commerce, marketplaces, fintech, or multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
• Depth in mobile instrumentation.
• Familiarity with tracking-plan governance or event observability tooling.
