Senior Integration Support Specialist

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Design integration architectures connecting the ecommerce SaaS platform with ERP, CRM, payment gateways, and other third-party applications.
• Design and maintain APIs, define specifications, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Test API integrations for functionality, data accuracy, and error handling.
• Customize integration workflows to meet client requirements while maintaining scalability and reliability.
• Troubleshoot integration issues and provide technical support to clients and internal teams.
• Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and stakeholders to align integration efforts with product and business objectives.
• Maintain documentation for integration processes, APIs, and troubleshooting guides.
• Manage API versioning and upgrades while preserving backward compatibility when necessary.
• Monitor industry trends and recommend tools and technologies that improve ecommerce integration capabilities.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms for API endpoints.
• Optimize API performance, scalability, and reliability using caching, load balancing, and error handling strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience as an Integration Engineer, preferably in ecommerce or SaaS.
• Strong proficiency in API design principles and patterns.
• Expertise in RESTful APIs, SOAP, webhooks, messaging queues, and other web service technologies.
• Hands-on experience with OAuth 2.0, JWT, and OAuth/OpenID Connect.
• Strong knowledge of API security, encryption, tokenization, and identity management.
• Experience with ecommerce platforms and their APIs, including Shopify, Magento, or WooCommerce.
• Familiarity with third-party APIs such as payment gateways and shipping services.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to mentor junior team members.
