Sr. Technical Lead / Architect

The Role

Location Preference

• The stated location preference is Dublin with work from the office.

Technical Leadership

• Own end-to-end technical architecture for assigned products and platforms.
• Define technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.
• Make architecture decisions covering scalability, security, performance, maintainability, and cost.
• Establish engineering standards and lead technical design discussions and architecture reviews.
• Drive migration from legacy technology to newer technology stacks.

Architecture and Development

• Design scalable, secure, resilient, cloud-native applications.
• Define microservices, APIs, integrations, messaging, and event-driven architectures.
• Produce high-level and low-level design documents.
• Lead full-stack development using Python, SQL, AWS, and React JS.
• Review code, resolve complex technical challenges, and ensure engineering standards.

Delivery and Team Leadership

• Drive technical deliverables through production deployment.
• Estimate development effort, identify technical risks, and support timely Agile delivery.
• Mentor and coach a small team of software engineers.
• Guide developers in design, coding, testing, debugging, and deployment.
• Assist with hiring and onboarding technical talent when required.

Cloud, Quality, and Collaboration

• Define CI/CD pipelines, release strategies, logging, monitoring, and infrastructure automation.
• Promote secure coding, automated testing, static analysis, code reviews, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with product, business, UX, QA, architecture, engineering, and customer stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into scalable solutions and present recommendations to senior leadership.

What You’ll Bring

• 10–14 years of professional experience in software engineering and related technology roles.
• Strong Python backend experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and working with React JS, JavaScript ES6+, and TypeScript.
• Experience with Redux or Context API and REST API integration.
• Good SQL knowledge with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL.
• Experience with AWS, cloud architectures, scalability, availability, auto scaling, and load balancing.
• Experience with CI/CD and deployment automation; familiarity with serverless architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitHub.
