Role Overview
Senior QA role focused on manual and automated testing for web applications and REST APIs.
Responsibilities
- Perform system, functionality, integration, GUI/UI, and regression testing manually and through automation.
- Develop test plans, test scripts, test cases, and test data for manual and automated testing.
- Coordinate with multiple teams to close, follow up on, and track identified issues.
- Define and track defect density and open defect count metrics.
- Develop traceability matrices and defect metrics reports to identify defect latency and slippage.
- Build deep product knowledge over time.
- Work independently and collaborate with team members and business users.
- Learn new and required technologies quickly through self-study.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor of Engineering degree and four to six years of testing and automation experience for web applications and REST APIs.
- Proficiency with Postman, JavaScript, and an API automation framework.
- Hands-on SQL Server experience.
- Proficiency with Playwright or Selenium for UI automation.
- Experience with TFS or Git code management tools.
- Knowledge of QA methodologies, standards, best practices, SQL, and Agile software development processes.
Preferred Skills
- C# and a unit testing framework such as MSTest, NUnit, or xUnit are good to have.
- Web API, WCF, SOAPUI, or web services testing experience is good to have.
- Experience with TFS or Jenkins continuous build integration tools is good to have.
