Core responsibilities
- Design cloud and AI architectures using AWS services for strategic Healthcare and Life Sciences customers.
- Build and migrate applications, software, and services on AWS.
- Architect AI, machine learning, and generative AI solutions.
- Formulate customer strategies with account management teams.
- Educate customers and lead deep architectural discussions for successful cloud deployment.
- Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many customer training sessions.
- Share best practices and contribute to AWS customer-facing publications.
- Build relationships with senior technical stakeholders and act as a technical liaison to service engineering and support.
Daily work
- Review customer requirements and technical challenges and identify complex cloud and AI architecture opportunities.
- Develop proofs of concept that demonstrate how cloud solutions can transform business processes.
- Influence service leadership and product marketing on customer needs, roadmap priorities, and go-to-market messaging.
- Continue learning about AWS service capabilities and create field enablement materials for colleagues and the technical community.
About the HCLS team
The AWS Industries team helps industry customers progress through digital transformation by working backward from industry-specific needs.
The HCLS Solutions Architecture team accelerates AWS adoption across strategic Healthcare and Life Sciences accounts.
The team focuses on business outcomes, strategic projects, field enablement, and collaboration with account and specialist teams.
Basic qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in relevant technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data and analytics.
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructure.
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation and consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent professional field experience.
Preferred qualification
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
Desired capabilities
- Technical depth in large-scale computing and AWS cloud solutions.
- Ability to engage enterprise architects, technical architects, cloud architects, directors, vice presidents, and C-level executives.
- Passion for educating, training, designing, and building cloud solutions for diverse enterprise customers.
- Ability to think strategically about business, products, technical challenges, and measurable customer value.
