Sr. React Native Mobile Engineer

Role Overview

Core Responsibilities

• Own mobile architecture, state management, navigation, module boundaries, and architecture documentation.
• Build performant and accessible features against platform APIs with streaming AI responses, authentication, and role-based access.
• Develop native modules and UI components, bridge SDKs, and debug device-specific crashes.
• Own automated builds, signing, versioning, phased rollouts, and publishing on both major app stores.
• Integrate LLM and agent APIs with streaming, tool calling, context management, graceful degradation, and cost-aware patterns.
• Define testing, crash reporting, performance monitoring, and release health practices.
• Review code, mentor engineers, and travel to UAE customer sites for senior on-site escalations.

React Native and Platform Skills

• Required technologies include React Native, TypeScript, the New Architecture, Hermes, React Navigation or Expo Router, and scalable data and state management.
• Native platform work includes Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, Java, Xcode, Android Studio, Gradle, CocoaPods or SPM, and ProGuard or R8.
• Platform APIs include notifications, background execution, biometrics, secure storage, camera, location, deep links, and app links.

Release, Testing, and Observability

• Required release experience includes App Store Connect, Google Play Console, provisioning, certificates, signing, TestFlight, testing tracks, staged rollouts, and store privacy declarations.
• CI/CD may use Fastlane, EAS Build, Bitrise, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI with certificate and secret management.
• Testing includes Jest, React Native Testing Library, Detox or Maestro, static quality gates, crash reporting, structured logging, and release monitoring.

AI Integration

• Integrate generative AI APIs using SSE or WebSocket streaming, tool or function calling, structured outputs, retries, timeouts, and cancellation.
• Design user experiences for variable latency and nondeterministic responses while managing context, token cost, and client-side secret safety.
• Awareness of Core ML, ML Kit, ONNX Runtime, or ExecuTorch is advantageous.

Required Experience

• At least 5 years of mobile development experience, including at least 3 years shipping React Native apps to production.
• Experience personally shipping and maintaining applications on both the Apple App Store and Google Play.
• Ability to build and maintain native modules and understand platform-specific behavior differences.
• Experience with mobile CI/CD, automated store submission, testing, performance, crash reporting, and release health.

Advantageous Background

• Open-source React Native contributions, data-dense real-time dashboards, enterprise or B2B products, security and compliance, design systems, Kubernetes, GPU infrastructure, or MLOps are advantageous.
