Job Description
- Develop and implement QA/QC plans, procedures, and standards for design and construction projects.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and tests to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Identify and resolve quality issues, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
- Monitor contractor and supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
- Maintain detailed documentation of QA/QC activities, including quality performance reports, checklists, and certifications.
- Serve as a Project Management Consultant to provide expert advice on quality management strategies.
- Collaborate with project teams to establish quality benchmarks and performance metrics.
- Conduct regular project reviews to assess quality compliance and recommend improvements.
- Provide training and mentorship to project teams on QA/QC best practices and standards.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all QA/QC activities.
- Prepare and present quality reports to stakeholders and senior management.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure quality expectations are met.
- Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and best practices in QA/QC and project management.
- Set quality objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and monitor performance against targets
- Oversee the preparation and approval of quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), method statements, and other QA/QC documentation.
- Drive internal audits, third-party inspections, and client quality assessments.
- Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), root cause analyses, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Ensure all construction and commissioning activities comply with project specifications, standards, and contractual obligations.
What Required Skills You'Ll Bring
- Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in QA/QC roles, in quality management within large scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, standards, and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 10005, IEC 17025,etc).
- Familiarity with design processes, construction standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Certification in PMP, PRINCE2, or similar is a plus.
