Role Overview
The role is for an experienced Senior Oracle Database Engineer supporting large-scale enterprise technology projects.
The position focuses on Oracle database administration, performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery, migration, and automation.
The engineer will support multiple technology projects and may participate in evening, weekend, or other out-of-hours activities when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level Oracle database administration and engineering support for enterprise platforms.
- Design, implement, maintain, and support highly available Oracle database environments.
- Tune SQL, databases, workloads, and queries, and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Administer Oracle RAC and Oracle Data Guard environments.
- Manage Oracle databases across OCI and AWS.
- Use OEM for database monitoring and management.
- Use RMAN for backup, recovery, and restore activities.
- Plan and execute patching, upgrades, maintenance, and database migrations.
- Resolve complex database performance, availability, and production issues.
- Maintain administration standards, procedures, and operational documentation.
- Support incidents, root-cause analysis, problem management, production support, and Agile delivery.
