Senior Red Hat OpenShift Administrator / Engineer

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, upgrade, and manage large-scale Red Hat OpenShift clusters.
• Perform platform administration, troubleshooting, monitoring, performance optimization, and capacity management.
• Design automation for OpenShift infrastructure and application deployments using Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins.
• Implement GitOps configuration management and deployment with Argo CD, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Helm charts.
• Support enterprise workload migration to cloud environments and automate provisioning, configuration, deployment, and operations.
• Collaborate with technical teams, integrate platforms through REST and SOAP APIs, and support API consumers and publishers.
• Support high availability and troubleshoot networking, DNS, SSL/TLS, certificates, load balancers, firewalls, Active Directory, and infrastructure components.

Core Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on Red Hat OpenShift administration, including installation, configuration, upgrades, automation, troubleshooting, and enterprise cluster management.
• Experience with OpenShift Virtualization / KubeVirt, Kubernetes concepts, containerized application platforms, storage, persistent volumes, and OpenShift networking.
• Expert-level Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins experience with Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, orchestration, and automation practices.
• GitOps deployment, Argo CD, Jenkins pipeline development, Jenkinsfiles using Groovy, and Helm chart development.
• Excellent scripting or programming capabilities using Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, and Helm templates.

Infrastructure and Security

• Understanding of DNS architecture, authoritative and non-authoritative DNS, dynamic DNS, BIND DNS, DNS forwarders, load balancers, site selectors, firewalls, and network traffic flows.
• Understanding of SSL/TLS communication, SSL handshakes, certificate validation, cipher suites, encryption algorithms, digital certificates, SAN certificates, client authentication, and keystores.
• Understanding of Active Directory, security organizational units, Active Directory policies, mutual SSL, secrets management, and privileged-access management.
• Experience with enterprise vault and secrets-management technologies such as HashiCorp Vault and CyberArk.

Required Experience

• At least 8 years of overall experience in relevant technical positions, preferably in large enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on enterprise OpenShift administration and support experience.
• Proven automation, orchestration, and Infrastructure as Code experience.
• Experience with complex enterprise infrastructure and security environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work across multiple technical teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator certification.
• Experience with Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, GitOps, and Argo CD.
• Experience with cloud migration, modernization, highly available business-critical platforms, and regulated environments such as banking or financial services.
