Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed, accurate, and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects
- Review tender drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify scope and risks
- Carry out quantity take offs, BOQ preparation, and cost planning
- Develop value engineering proposals to achieve cost efficiencies
- Prepare and submit tender documents, clarifications, and pricing schedules
- Obtain, analyze, and compare quotations from subcontractors and suppliers
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contract conditions
- Finalize project budgets and support procurement
- Assist with contract administration, variations, and final account settlements
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Estimator
- Proven track record in preparing and submitting successful tenders up to AUD 50 million
- Strong experience in commercial construction, including new builds, refurbishments, fit outs, and D&C projects
- Degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
- Strong knowledge of Australian construction industry standards and NCC
- Proficiency in Estimate One, CostX, Cubit, Bluebeam Revu, and Advanced Excel
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Able to work Australian business hours while based in Dubai

Role Overview
- The Senior Estimator / Quantity Surveyor will prepare accurate estimates, tender submissions, cost plans, procurement support, and commercial administration for commercial construction projects across Australia.
Estimation & Tendering
- Prepare detailed, accurate, and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
- Review tender drawings, specifications, engineering documents, and contract documents.
- Carry out quantity take offs, BOQ preparation, and cost planning.
- Develop value engineering proposals.
- Prepare and submit tender documents, clarifications, pricing schedules.
Site & Pre Contract Duties
- Review project requirements and assess technical and commercial feasibility.
- Incorporate Australian Standards and NCC requirements.
- Coordinate with consultants, engineers, architects, and internal teams.
- Liaise with specialist vendors for technical input and quotations.
Subcontractor & Supplier Management
- Obtain, analyze, and compare quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contract conditions.
- Prepare detailed bid comparison sheets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships.
Post Contract Support
- Finalize project budgets and support procurement.
- Assist with contract administration, variations, remeasurement, valuations, and final account settlements.
- Provide cost advice on changes, risk allowances, contingencies.
- Support cash flow forecasting, cost reporting, and profitability monitoring.
- Support progressive billing and interim valuations.
Coordination & Reporting
- Work closely with project managers, commercial managers, and design teams.
- Maintain organized records of tender submissions, quotations, clarifications.
- Provide periodic cost and progress reports to senior management.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all estimating and commercial activities comply with company policies and regulations.
- Support compliance with authority approvals and quality management systems.
- Incorporate sustainability and environmental considerations.
- Maintain professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Estimator.
- Proven track record in preparing and submitting successful tenders up to AUD 50 million.
- Strong experience in commercial construction.
- Experience working with international contractors, consultants, developers, and government clients.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.

- Master’s degree highly regarded.
- Professional membership with AIQS, RICS, CIOB, ICE, or equivalent preferred.
