Sr. Java Full Stack Engineer

Role Overview

Required Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience, with equivalent professional experience accepted in place of a related bachelor's degree.
• 5+ years of HCL Commerce or IBM WebSphere Commerce WCS 8.x experience covering customization, business logic, commerce flows, and backend integrations.
• 5+ years of Java and object-oriented design experience on large IT systems.
• 3+ years of Spring or Spring MVC experience and hands-on Spring Boot experience with REST APIs.
• 5+ years of REST and SOAP web services experience.
• 5+ years of source-control experience with Git required.
• 3+ years of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS experience with production React and Next.js experience.
• Experience with Agile delivery and Atlassian tools, plus strong communication and teamwork.

Preferred Experience

• Later Commerce versions are a plus but do not replace WCS 8.x experience.
• B2B commerce, punchout, mobile commerce, headless or composable commerce, and API-first storefront patterns are preferred.
• TypeScript, Angular, Vue, MuleSoft or similar iPaaS, Solr, Redis, and CMS-driven storefront experience are advantageous.
• Experience distinguishing Preview or authoring environments from Runtime or customer-facing commerce environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Customize HCL Commerce or IBM WebSphere Commerce storefronts and implement commerce business logic.
• Work across catalog, order, and user flows in a commerce platform.
• Develop Java applications and services for large IT systems.
• Build and integrate REST and SOAP web services with backend systems.
• Develop production storefront functionality using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, and Next.js.
• Deliver software in an Agile environment using Atlassian development and collaboration tools.
• Apply commerce integration patterns including headless, composable, or API-first approaches where applicable.
