Sr. Engineer, Water Network Strategy

Job Summary

General Responsibilities

• **Policy, Procedures, Process and Systems**
• Ensure the compliance of organization’s policy, systems, processes, procedures, and controls in line with group delegation of authority policy so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service in a consistent manner.
• **Reporting**
• Ensure that all reports are completed timely and comply with the business and Transco’s policies and standards.
• Manage the preparation of periodical management reports and progress reports to keep the business senior management informed about the progress of various initiatives and to facilitate decision-making.
• Comply with organization’s requirements in a timely manner.

Job Specific Responsibilities

• Develop the Asset Management Policy Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP) to ensure expected returns and longevity of all network assets while also ensuring alignment to overall TAQA Distribution strategy and Abu Dhabi Vision 2030
• Develop 5 year planning statements including capital expenditure projections for water distribution networks based on demand requirements and the Abu Dhabi Government 2030 vision in liaison with relevant bodies as required and also factoring in the requirements of external stakeholders such as Urban Planning Council, developers and the Executive Council.
• Provide capital expenditure projections for water distribution networks. Contribute to the development of capital expenditure projections for the water distribution networks.
• Analyze the projected demand, identify infrastructure needs, and estimate the associated costs.
• Take part in preparation and initiation of TAQA Distribution’s annual water distribution network expansion capital expenditure budget (CAPEX).
• Conduct feasibility technical studies for developing systems, future network development and requirement for network rehabilitation or replacement through Modelling.
• Assist in review of Master Plans submitted by Developers.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
• 3 years of relevant working experience

Desired Requirements

• Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
• 6 years of relevant working experience
