Primary Purpose of the Job
Provide specialist technical support to department divisions for major facilities and utilities, including cooling water, desalinated and potable water, waste management, and treated water distribution facilities.
Support Ras Laffan Industrial City projects through engineering standards, technical guidelines, and application of current process, engineering, safety, and environmental technology.
Troubleshoot technical problems by conducting research based on fundamental engineering principles.
Required Experience and Skills
- Require 12 to 15 years of varied experience in the relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience must include conceptual and facilities design, project design and management, start-up, troubleshooting, and commissioning in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industry.
- Experience must include 5 to 8 years in a senior supervisory position on major projects.
- Strong communication, influencing, presentation, negotiation, leadership, and motivational skills are required.
- Computer literacy and proven skills in technical and simulation packages are required.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines is required.
Educational Qualifications
- B.E. or B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering is required.
- Chartered membership of the relevant institute or organization is required.
