Primary Purpose of the Job
Provide technical leadership and engineering support for the planning, design, and execution of drilling and workover operations.
Develop safe, efficient, and cost-effective drilling programs while supporting rig operations and managing operational risks.
Role Responsibilities
- Coordinate with stakeholders and contractors during drilling and workover activities.
- Ensure operations comply with company standards, procedures, and HSE requirements.
- Make operational decisions based on systematic analysis and rigorous attention to detail.
Required Experience and Skills
- Minimum of 15 years of drilling operations engineering experience with an operating company.
- Experience with well design, tubular design, completions, wellbore construction, drilling fluids, and well control.
- Good understanding of geology.
- Full proficiency with drilling engineering software such as Compass, Well Plan, Stress Check, and Casing Seat or similar programs.
- Ability to deliver outstanding performance and exceed normal expectations.
- Ability to make correct operational decisions through systematic analysis and rigorous attention to detail.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science engineering degree from an accredited university.
- Petroleum Engineering is the preferred engineering discipline.
