Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain SQL Server (2019 2022) and PostgreSQL (v12 v16) databases
- Manage PostGIS extensions for spatial data workloads
- Perform performance tuning and optimization using execution plans and database internals
- Design and deploy High Availability and Disaster Recovery architectures (AlwaysOn, Patroni, Streaming Replication)
- Architect enterprise backup/restore strategies and manage Point in Time Recovery (PITR) scenarios
- Implement and maintain enterprise security protocols, encryption standards, and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001)
- Lead L3 level troubleshooting and performance diagnostics
Requirements
- Proven track record as a DBA with deep technical knowledge of SQL Server (2019 2022) and PostgreSQL (v12 v16)
- Advanced proficiency in managing PostGIS extensions is highly desirable
- Expert level command of database internals, execution plans and optimization techniques for both SQL Server and PostgreSQL
- Demonstrated experience designing and deploying complex High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) architectures (e.g., AlwaysOn, Patroni, or Streaming Replication)
- Comprehensive experience in architecting enterprise backup/restore strategies and managing Point in Time Recovery (PITR) scenarios
- Strong familiarity with enterprise security protocols, encryption standards and regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001)
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills, with ability to lead L3 level troubleshooting and performance diagnostics
- Valid industry certifications are mandatory
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Job Description

Requirements & Qualifications
- Platform Expertise: Proven track record as a DBA with deep technical knowledge of SQL Server (2019–2022) and PostgreSQL (v12–v16); experience with recent major releases is essential.
- GIS Capability: Advanced proficiency in managing PostGIS extensions is highly desirable to support specialized spatial data workloads.
- Performance Tuning: Expert level command of database internals, execution plans and optimization techniques for both SQL Server and PostgreSQL database servers.
- Architectural Resilience: Demonstrated experience designing and deploying complex High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) architectures (e.g., AlwaysOn, Patroni, or Streaming Replication).
- Data Integrity & Recovery: Comprehensive experience in architecting enterprise backup/restore strategies and managing Point in Time Recovery (PITR) scenarios.
- Security: Strong familiarity with enterprise security protocols, encryption standards and regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001).
