Role overview

Clinical responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, professional, ethical, and high-quality clinical services to patients effectively and efficiently.
• Monitor and manage clinical risks associated with direct patient care.
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance and quality management standards.
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient information.
• Maintain excellence in medical practice through continuous professional development of self and others.
• Deliver clinical services with integrity and in an ethical and responsible manner.
• Administer Executive Health Program examinations on a regular basis.
• Order diagnostic laboratory and X-ray examinations, determine diagnoses, and prescribe applicable therapy and preventive medicine.
• Prescribe or administer treatments, therapies, medications, vaccinations, and other specialized medical care.
• Collect and document medical histories, reports, examination results, and other patient information.
• Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary.
• Participate in continuing in-service training programs and physician conferences.

Experience requirements

• At least 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience at Specialist level, independent of country.
• At least 1 year of Specialist-level experience from a Tier 1 country specified by the UAE healthcare regulator.

Education and registration

• Basic medical degree and completion of a specialty qualification or education program recognized by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.
• Certification and registration in a specialty recognized by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.
• Eligibility for relevant UAE healthcare authority registration through a recognized pathway, such as Royal College membership, Arab Board certification, MS, DM, MPhil, or an equivalent.
• Active and valid life support certification, such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, or NRP.
