About the Role
A leading healthcare facility in Al Ain, UAE is seeking a highly qualified Specialist or Consultant Pediatric Neurologist to diagnose and manage neurological disorders in children.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of pediatric neurological conditions including epilepsy, developmental delays, cerebral palsy, neuromuscular disorders, movement disorders, headaches, neurogenetic disorders, and neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Perform comprehensive neurological assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Interpret and evaluate diagnostic investigations including EEG, EMG/NCS, MRI, CT scans, and laboratory findings.
- Manage pediatric patients with acute and chronic neurological disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Provide emergency neurological consultations for critically ill children.
- Collaborate closely with pediatricians, neonatologists, neurosurgeons, rehabilitation specialists, psychologists, therapists, and nursing staff.
- Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, prognosis, and long term care plans.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical audits.
- Supervise junior physicians, residents, and fellows (Consultant level).
- Participate in Continuing Medical Education (CME), research activities, and departmental teaching programs.
Requirements
- MD/MS/DNB or equivalent qualification in Pediatrics recognized by UAE authorities
- Fellowship/DM/CCT/Board Certification in Pediatric Neurology or Child Neurology
- Valid DOH License or DOH Eligibility as Specialist Pediatric Neurologist (preferred)
- Minimum 3 5 years of post specialization experience in Pediatric Neurology (Specialist)
- Minimum 5 8 years of post board certification experience as a Consultant (Consultant)
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
- Proven leadership, academic, teaching, and research experience (Consultant level)

Job Overview

- Deliver patient centered, evidence based care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

- Specialist: Valid DOH License or DOH Eligibility as a Specialist Pediatric Neurologist (preferred).
- Specialist: Minimum 3–5 years of post specialization experience in Pediatric Neurology.
- Consultant: American Board / Canadian Board / UK CCT / Irish CSCST / Australian Fellowship / European Board or equivalent recognized Consultant qualification in Pediatric Neurology.
- Consultant: Valid DOH License or DOH Eligibility as Consultant Pediatric Neurologist (preferred).
- Consultant: Minimum 5–8 years of post board certification experience as a Consultant.
- Consultant: Extensive experience in tertiary care hospitals managing complex pediatric neurological cases.
- Consultant: Proven leadership, academic, teaching, and research experience is highly desirable.
