About the Role
We are seeking a highly qualified Specialist or Consultant Pediatric Neonatologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Al Ain, UAE. The role involves providing comprehensive neonatal care, managing critically ill newborns in the NICU, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities
- Provide expert diagnosis, treatment, and management of premature, critically ill, and high risk newborns
- Manage patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), including ventilator support and advanced neonatal procedures
- Attend high risk deliveries and provide immediate neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress
- Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, anesthesiologists, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care
- Perform neonatal procedures such as umbilical catheterization, intubation, lumbar puncture, and chest tube insertion as required
- Participate in neonatal follow up clinics and developmental assessments
- Ensure accurate clinical documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
- Educate and counsel parents regarding neonatal conditions, treatment plans, and long term care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and infection control programs
- Supervise junior medical staff, residents, and fellows (Consultant level)
- Participate in departmental meetings, CME activities, and research programs
Requirements
- MD/MS/DNB or equivalent qualification in Pediatrics recognized by UAE authorities
- Fellowship/DM/CCT/Board Certification in Neonatology or Neonatal Perinatal Medicine
- Valid DOH License or DOH Eligibility as Specialist or Consultant Pediatric Neonatologist (preferred)
- Minimum 3–5 years (Specialist) or 5–8 years (Consultant) of post specialization experience in Neonatology
- Strong expertise in managing Level III/IV NICU patients
- Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills

- American Board / Canadian Board / UK CCT / Irish CSCST / Australian FRACP / European Board or equivalent recognized Consultant qualification in Neonatology.
- Valid DOH License or DOH Eligibility as Consultant Pediatric Neonatologist (preferred).
- Minimum 5–8 years of post board certification experience as a Consultant.
- Extensive experience in tertiary care hospitals and advanced NICU management.
- Proven leadership, teaching, and research experience is preferred.
