Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive specialist cardiology consultations and ongoing patient care
- Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
- Perform and interpret cardiac diagnostic investigations (e.g., ECG, echocardiography)
- Prescribe and manage medical treatment plans in line with clinical guidelines
- Explain diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and preventive strategies to patients
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as required
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical records
- Work closely with GPs, nurses, and other specialists to optimise patient outcomes
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education
- Uphold patient safety, ethical medical practice, and clinical governance standards

- Ability to perform and interpret cardiac diagnostic investigations
- Experience in managing acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions

Job Summary
- To deliver high‑quality, specialist‑level cardiology care to patients in line with evidence‑based clinical standards, ensuring safe, ethical, and patient‑centred outcomes while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive specialist cardiology consultations and ongoing patient care
- Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
- Perform and interpret cardiac diagnostic investigations (e.g. ECG, echocardiography, relevant imaging and lab tests)
- Prescribe and manage medical treatment plans in line with clinical guidelines
- Clearly explain diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and preventive strategies to patients
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as required
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical records
- Work closely with GPs, nurses, and other specialists to optimise patient outcomes
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education
