Role Overview

Core Responsibilities

• Process domestic, regional, and international mandatory and voluntary corporate actions across equities, mutual funds, fixed income, hedge funds, structured funds, and ETFs.
• Receive and compare market and sub-custodian announcements, notify clients, reconcile positions, and monitor accruals and entitlements.
• Solicit client responses for voluntary events and submit instructions before market or agent deadlines.
• Track and respond to client queries with clear corporate-actions information aligned with market rules and regulations.
• Communicate with markets, sub-custodians, agents, companies, depositories, brokers, and issuers.
• Participate in projects, system changes, upgrades, new client requirements, and service-level implementations.
• Review and implement process changes to improve client satisfaction, reduce manual intervention, and lower costs.

Settlement and Controls

• Support tax reclaims, proxy services, network management, income management, and reconciliation activities.
• Validate cash and FX settlement transactions, accounting entries, vouchers, and settlement exceptions for AVP review.
• Monitor corporate-action sources and validate transactions entered into the custody system.
• Review client positions and cash balances, reconcile them with sub-custodians and markets, and escalate discrepancies or funding risks.
• Validate SWIFT instructions and perform second-level reconciliations.
• Monitor controls, KPIs, KRIs, capacity planning, and compliance or audit standards, and report incidents to the AVP.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• University graduate or bachelor’s degree, or five years of related work experience.
• At least five years of related experience in securities services or back-office operations, such as corporate actions or securities settlements.
• Solid understanding of securities services, operations, and accounting activity related to securities services.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple activities simultaneously.
• Ability to meet business objectives without compromising established controls and risk parameters.
• Strong execution and follow-up skills in a multitasking environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, accuracy, attention-to-detail, and teamwork skills.
• Experience in client services, corporate actions, settlement, data maintenance, billing, or custody account opening is an added advantage.
