Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in managing the daily kitchen operations of our standalone restaurant. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen.
  • Supervise and guide kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to restaurant recipes and quality standards.
  • Ensure consistency in food quality, portion control, and presentation.
  • Monitor food preparation to maintain high standards of taste and appearance.
  • Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene standards in compliance with UAE regulations.
  • Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting purchasing requirements.
  • Minimize food waste and ensure cost effective use of ingredients.
  • Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff on recipes, techniques, and SOPs.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and maintained properly.
  • Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and seasonal promotions when required.
  • Handle kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a standalone restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of international cuisine and modern cooking techniques.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and team management skills.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced restaurant environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Culinary diploma or relevant professional certification.
  • Experience working in high volume standalone restaurants.
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards and UAE food safety regulations.
  • Experience in menu development and food cost control.

Compensation

  • Pay: AED10,000.00 AED12,000.00 per month
