Sourcing Specialist

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard **reliable suppliers and manufacturers** for textiles, garments, uniforms, promotional items, and other gifting products.
• Manage **end-to-end sourcing** activities, including supplier research, quotation comparison, price negotiation, and sample approvals.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers in **China, India, and other sourcing hubs**.
• Ensure suppliers meet company standards for **quality, compliance, and ethical sourcing**.
• Negotiate terms of purchase, including **pricing, lead times, payment, and logistics**.
• Coordinate with **design, production, and logistics teams** to ensure correct specifications and on-time delivery.
• Monitor and analyze market trends, new materials, and product innovations relevant to textiles and gift items.
• Maintain supplier performance records and cost analysis reports.
• Prepare sourcing reports and provide regular updates to management on new sourcing opportunities.
• Handle **import/export documentation**, shipping coordination, and customs processes as needed.
• Any other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Textile Technology, or a related field.
• **Minimum 5 years of experience in international sourcing**, specifically in the **textile/garment and gifting industry**.
• Proven track record of sourcing from **China and India**; exposure to suppliers in Southeast Asia, Turkey, or Europe is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of **fabric types, garment production processes, trims, accessories, and packaging**.
• Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and cost analysis skills.
• Understanding of **import/export procedures, Incoterms, and logistics coordination**.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of **Mandarin or Hindi** will be an added advantage.
