Role Overview
The employer is seeking a commercially focused Sourcing Specialist to manage sourcing activities, supplier relationships, negotiations, and cost optimization.
The role works with Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and other internal stakeholders.
Sourcing Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business requirements and procurement objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, capacity, and service.
- Conduct RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, e-sourcing events, quotation analysis, and supplier comparisons.
- Lead supplier negotiations and manage supplier contracts and commercial agreements.
- Maintain relationships with strategic suppliers and business partners.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions for underperforming suppliers.
- Lead cost-saving, cost-reduction, and value-optimization initiatives.
- Analyze category spend, market pricing, supplier quotations, and procurement trends.
- Research new products, suppliers, sourcing methods, and market opportunities.
Stakeholder and Operations Duties
- Align sourcing activities with internal purchasing requirements and business priorities.
