About the Role
SEHA is seeking a Sonographer to independently perform ultrasound imagery procedures, analyze output, and report to supervisors. The role requires at least 2 years of post-graduate ultrasound experience in an acute care hospital, including Doppler, obstetrics/gynecology, and abdominal sonography.

Responsibilities
- Perform all Ultrasound imagery procedures in accordance with department policies, procedures and protocols
- Evaluate and assess Ultrasound images for acceptable quality, appropriateness and completeness
- Recognize anatomy and pathology in cross sectional imaging to optimize scan protocols
- Maintain inventory of material supplies and equipment
- Ensure safe and competent use of all radiology equipment
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment
- Provide advice to medical/technical staff on appropriate techniques and imagery interventions
- Participate in education sessions for department staff
Requirements
- NLT 2 years post graduate experience in ultrasound in an acute care hospital, including Doppler, obstetrics/gynecology and abdominal sonography
- Post Graduates Ultrasound Diploma Certificate (desired)
- For UAE Nationals: NLT 2 years post graduates experience in general radiography

Job Description
- Responsible to independently or under the supervision of senior sonographer perform all sonography imagery procedures, analyze output and report to supervisor as needed.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining sufficient inventory of material supplies and equipment for performance of duties
- Reporting shortage of materials to supervisor at earliest convenience, maintaining records for ordering and replenishments
- Performing all Ultrasound imagery procedures in accordance with department policies, procedures and protocols
- Performing other related radiography (special) procedures as required
- Evaluating and assessing Ultrasound images produced for acceptable quality, appropriateness and completeness
- Recognizing anatomy and pathology in cross sectional imaging to optimize scan protocols
- Responsible for the safe and competent use of all radiology equipment
- Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment
- Providing advice to medical/technical staff on appropriate techniques and imagery interventions
- Dealing with patients and clinical staff initial enquiries
- Performing other duties as assigned by Supervisor
- Promoting and maintaining quality in all services
Qualifications
- NLT 2 years post graduate experience in ultrasound in an acute care hospital, Including Doppler, obstetrics/gynecology and abdominal sonography (of which NLT 2 years’ experience as a senior ultrasound radiographer in an acute care hospital)
- NLT 4 years post graduate experience in ultrasound in an acute care hospital, Including Doppler, obstetrics/gynecology and abdominal sonography
- UAE National: NLT 2 years post graduates experience in general radiography
- Desired: Post Graduates Ultrasound Diploma Certificate
