Role Summary

Microsoft Workplace and Security

• Assess, design, and implement Microsoft Modern Workplace solutions using Microsoft 365 E5 and Office 365.
• Deploy and administer Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Intune, and Windows endpoint management.
• Implement Entra ID, multifactor authentication, Conditional Access, Identity Protection, and Privileged Identity Management.
• Manage Microsoft Defender security workloads and Microsoft Purview information protection, data loss prevention, retention, eDiscovery, insider risk, and compliance policies.

Infrastructure and Migration

• Design, deploy, and maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, Windows Server, and Exchange Server infrastructure.
• Support Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, and newer releases.
• Administer Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware enterprise virtualization platforms.
• Plan and execute Exchange, Microsoft 365 tenant, Active Directory, file-server, physical-to-virtual, and virtual-to-virtual migrations.
• Implement Microsoft Configuration Manager/SCCM, endpoint deployment, patch management, application distribution, and compliance policies.

Recovery and Support

• Design disaster recovery and business continuity solutions based on defined RPO and RTO requirements.
• Implement and manage enterprise backup, replication, recovery, and archiving solutions using Veeam and related technologies; this responsibility is optional.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, identity, messaging, security, backup, and cloud-related issues.
• Provide documentation, knowledge transfer, post-deployment support, and escalation support outside normal working hours when project activities require it.

Required Certifications

• A strong combination of relevant certifications or current Microsoft equivalents is sought.
• Examples include Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate and Microsoft 365 certifications in administration, identity, endpoint management, messaging, security, or compliance.
• Previously earned Messaging Administrator Associate or Security Administrator Associate certifications are also listed.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum five years of hands-on IT experience as a Project Engineer, Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or Customer Support Engineer.
• Demonstrated delivery experience across enterprise infrastructure, Microsoft 365, security, cloud migration, and disaster recovery projects.
• Proven migration experience for enterprise customers, financial institutions, and government entities.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft hybrid infrastructure, identity, messaging, virtualization, backup, and security technologies.
• Ability to independently manage technical projects from assessment and design through implementation and handover.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, customer communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
