Job Description
Lead the security operations center, build and develop its team, improve detection and response maturity, govern SOC performance, and engage technical and executive stakeholders.
The role covers 24x7 operations, major incident response, detection engineering, security telemetry, audits, tooling, vendors, and client or leadership reporting.
Lead the SOC Operation
- Own 24x7 monitoring, triage, investigation, incident response, escalation paths, and on-call coverage.
- Define SOC runbooks, playbooks, SLAs, and quality standards and audit analyst work.
- Serve as incident commander for P1 and P2 incidents through resolution and post-incident review.
Build and Develop the Team
- Recruit, onboard, and retain L1-L3 analysts, threat hunters, and detection engineers.
- Manage rosters, capacity, career paths, training, tabletop exercises, purple-team sessions, goals, and reviews.
- Promote continuous improvement, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
