Software Quality Engineer - E2

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education. • Knowledge of quality systems/processes and expertise in external quality standards • Ability to interpret software design and code to verify the implementation of requirements • Proficient skill with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance

Desired Skills

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and resolve technical issues with multiple teams, suppliers, and customers
• Background in a STEM discipline (e.g., engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or a related field).
• Knowledge of software development life cycle models
• Knowledge of configuration management and control tools
• Technical experience in a related discipline (e.g., Quality Engineering, System Safety, Engineering, Integration & Test)
• Experience in supporting Agile/Scrum software development
• Experience with ClearQuest, DOORS, VersionOne (Agility), and/or other Configuration Management tools
• Experience with Atlassian tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
• Experience with code collaborator tools
• Experience in test planning, processing, and nonconformance processing, including root cause analysis and corrective action development
• Experience in establishing quality assurance performance metrics for identifying process improvement
• Experience with US Military customers and/or other government customer support organizations
• Lean/Six Sigma Green belt
• ASQ Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE)
• Knowledge of AS9100D and CMMI requirements
• Able to work independently in an environment with challenging requirements and dynamic schedules
