Job Summary
Ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications.
Work with developers, project managers, and other team members to identify defects and validate features.
Software Testing
- Create and execute test cases, scenarios, and plans based on business and technical requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and system testing.
- Test features, enhancements, and bug fixes across environments and identify edge cases.
- Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing where required.
API and Database Testing
- Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Validate API requests, responses, status codes, authentication, and data.
- Perform database testing and write SQL queries to verify data accuracy and functionality.
Defect Management
- Document and track defects using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Provide reproduction steps, expected results, actual results, and supporting information.
- Work with developers to investigate issues, verify fixes, and perform regression testing.
QA Process and Collaboration
- Maintain test cases, test data, documentation, and testing status reports.
- Participate in requirement reviews and identify quality risks early.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum activities and communicate defects, risks, and progress.
- Support developers in reproducing and troubleshooting issues.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of professional software QA or testing experience.
- Understanding of SDLC, STLC, manual testing, and core testing types.
- Experience with API testing, SQL, database testing, and defect management tools.
- Basic automation testing knowledge is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Compensation
- Full-time position paying AED 6,000–7,000 per month.
Workplace
- Work location is in person.
