Role overview
Coveo is seeking a Software Engineering Manager, also described as a Development Manager, for its Explore product engineering organization.
Explore develops AI-powered search, recommendations, conversational AI, and personalized discovery experiences across commerce, service, websites, and AI agents.
Core responsibilities
- Lead a team of software developers working on strategic Explore initiatives.
- Adapt leadership to the maturity, autonomy, and needs of each team while fostering ownership and accountability.
- Partner with Product Management, Applied Science, and Engineering leaders to deliver AI-powered capabilities.
- Provide technical leadership through architecture discussions, design reviews, and code reviews when appropriate.
- Coach and develop engineers and build a healthy, high-performing engineering culture.
- Contribute to cross-team collaboration, planning, continuous improvement, and the evolution of the R&D organization.
Required qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience as a Development Manager or Senior Team Lead.
- Strong software engineering experience with the ability to understand, review, and discuss production code.
- Experience building Software as a Service products.
