Software Engineering Manager (Java, AWS, Search)

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Manager for Search Infrastructure within Autodesk Platform Services.

In this role, you will help to build modern and scalable Search Platform that powers the search experiences across Autodesk’s Industry Clouds – Fusion, Forma and Flow.

As an ideal candidate, you have led teams developing scalable cloud services in a fast-paced, agile environment.

You know how to nurture talent, develop/advocate best practices, foster open communication, and provide guidance and mentoring for effective and high-performing teams to deliver high-quality solutions to their customers.

• Lead Key Business Outcome / Initiatives. Accountable for one or more large scale key results. Lead and contribute to development of company objectives and long term strategy of the services
• Lead the design, development and operations of highly scalable, distributed, data intensive micro-services
• Drive resiliency best practices
• Collaborate with Architects, Product Managers and other stakeholders to drive business outcomes. Ensure timely delivery of high quality software meeting customer needs
• As a leader, inspire, motivate and coach team members to achieve maximum productivity, optimal creativity and efficiency
• Mentor team members to develop their careers and to achieve individual success
• Hire, develop and mentor top engineering talent
• Enhance engineering efficiency; observing the team, identifying opportunities, and influencing the improvement
• Manage the unknowns and help teams manage through the uncertainties
• Drive customer-centricity and engineering excellence in teams

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
• 12-16 years of hands on experience in the industry involving designing and developing cloud scale and highly available server applications and services
