DriveTime is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and support innovative software solutions.
The role supports business-critical initiatives and scalable applications while collaborating with product, business, and technology stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Gather requirements and design, develop, test, debug, document, and support applications.
- Use generative AI-assisted development tools while maintaining code quality.
- Integrate APIs, data sources, and external systems securely and at scale.
- Develop front-end and back-end components, distributed systems, and modern web applications.
- Write unit tests and communicate technical concepts and project recommendations.
- Stay current with software architectures, design patterns, and generative AI developments.
Required qualifications
- At least three years of software, web, or application development experience is required.
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience is required.
- Experience with backend frameworks, APIs, modern front-end frameworks, single-page applications, and unit testing is required.
- Cloud deployment and support experience is required.
- Experience integrating applications with large language models using relevant SDKs or frameworks is required.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript or TypeScript is required.
Preferred qualifications
- C# and .NET development experience is preferred.
- Experience with distributed systems, generative AI-assisted development, agile environments, cloud-native architecture, or microservices is preferred.
Workplace
- The position uses a hybrid work approach with a minimum on-site expectation of three days per week.
