Role Overview
DriveTime is seeking a Database Engineering Intern for its Summer 2027 internship program.
The intern will use Microsoft SQL Server and Azure cloud services to construct data solutions, maintain data integrity, and transform data between source and target structures.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement effective database solutions.
- Identify the root cause and impact of support issues and outages.
- Recommend improvements to new and existing systems.
- Collaborate on simplified approaches to business complexities.
Candidate Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree with graduation expected between December 2027 and May 2028.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.5.
- Experience with Python for data processing and automation.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience with SQL Server, SSIS, and stored procedures for data integration.
- Experience with Snowflake for data warehousing and management is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and intellectual curiosity.
Internship Schedule
- The internship program lasts 11 weeks from May 2027 through August 2027.
- The role is based at the Home Office in Tempe, Arizona.
- The schedule is on-site Monday through Friday for 40 hours per week.
Program Details
- The paid program provides hands-on experience, completed projects, portfolio development, mentorship, and professional guidance.
- Interns may have opportunities to continue through the fall semester, return the following summer, or join full-time after graduation.
