Internship Overview
DriveTime is seeking a Data Science Intern for its Summer 2027 internship program.
Data science teams support Marketing, Lending, Indirect Lending, and Warranties.
The internship provides hands-on experience with data science technologies and projects.
Responsibilities
- Conduct data analysis and provide insights for business decision-making.
- Assist in developing data models, algorithms, and predictive models.
- Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to extract knowledge and patterns from data.
- Develop innovative approaches to increase data intelligence within the business.
- Present analysis results to leaders and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Applicants must be bachelor's or master's students graduating between December 2027 and May 2028.
- Applicants must pursue Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- A GPA of 3.5 or higher is required.
- Applicants must be able to read and write in Python.
- Working knowledge of SQL, Tableau, and Excel is required.
- An understanding of the Data Science Life Cycle is required.
- Strong attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, problem-solving, and communication skills are expected.
Program Schedule
- The internship lasts 11 weeks from May 2027 through August 2027.
- The schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
Workplace
- Internships are based at the home offices in Tempe, Arizona, or Dallas, Texas.
- The role follows a regular on-site schedule.
- Relocation is not provided for the internship.
