Essential
Professional experience developing software with.NET and C#
Experience building RESTful APIs and service-oriented applications
Understanding of software design patterns and scalable architecture
Experience working in Agile delivery environments
Working knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks such as React
Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD practices
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Curiosity about AI and an interest in applying it to software engineering challenges
Approximately 2+ years of professional software engineering experience
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
Nice to have
Azure or other cloud platform experience
Experience building CI/CD pipelines
Python for automation or AI-related workflows
Experience working with LLMs, prompt engineering or agentic systems
Containerisation technologies
Experience building developer productivity tools

We're looking for a Software Engineer to help modernise one of Confluence's most important products while bringing emerging AI capabilities into production.
This is not a maintenance role.
As part of our Software Engineering team, you'll work across a large-scale product ecosystem used by investment management firms around the world. You'll help develop modern services, improve platform capabilities and build AI-powered solutions using technologies such as LLMs and agent-based workflows.
