Position Summary
The Software Engineer II will design and build web-based viewing and collaboration experiences for Bentley Infrastructure Cloud.
The team develops an embedded 3D and digital-twin viewer and feature modules used to review, mark up, and collaborate on infrastructure projects.
The role uses a TypeScript and React codebase built on iTwin.js and Cesium to render large-scale iModels, Reality Data, and geospatial data in browsers.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship frontend features for the Bentley Infrastructure Cloud iTwin/iModel Viewer.
- Use TypeScript, React, Cesium, and iTwin.js from requirements through delivery.
- Document features and decisions through code, comments, and concise technical write-ups.
- Build and maintain Module Federation micro-frontend packages in a large pnpm monorepo.
- Write clear, testable, maintainable code with unit and end-to-end coverage.
- Participate in code reviews, pull-request workflows, and agile or Scrum ceremonies.
- Uphold coding standards and architectural boundaries.
- Mentor fellow engineers through pairing, reviews, and knowledge sharing.
