Job Description
Allstate is hiring a software developer for its Investment Technology team.
The role supports trading platforms, financial reporting systems, and data integration solutions for asset management operations.
The position combines scripting, database, backend, frontend, integration, testing, and cloud responsibilities.
Work Arrangement
- The role requires working two days per week at the Chicago Riverpoint office and three days at home.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for data processing, reporting, and workflow optimization.
- Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions across Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
- Develop backend services with Java Spring Boot and Node.js.
- Build frontend interfaces with React.js, HTML, and CSS.
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, and JSON integrations.
- Apply object-oriented programming principles and coding standards.
- Implement unit, integration, and acceptance testing using test-driven development.
- Refactor code and manage source code with Git and code reviews.
- Support Jenkins and Gradle CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes containerization.
