Role Overview
Lead a high-performing team responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of Allstate Canada's financial and regulatory reporting.
Provide financial insights supporting strategic decisions while ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
Work Arrangement
- The role is hybrid, with one to two days per week in the office.
Accountabilities
- Lead, coach, and develop Financial Reporting Analysts and foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, annual, year-end, and regulatory reporting activities, including statements, filings, reconciliations, journal entries, analysis, and disclosures.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal control standards.
- Coordinate year-end deliverables with Finance, auditors, actuaries, and other business partners.
- Review reporting packages, capital adequacy calculations, and financial metrics, and provide recommendations to leadership.
- Partner with auditors and regulators, address findings, and improve reporting processes through automation and technology.
