Novarc Technologies is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead software development for specialized robotic welding machinery.
The role combines team leadership with hands-on development of user-facing interfaces, backend services, cloud integrations, and release processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of at least six software engineers.
- Manage the software development lifecycle from concept through deployment on hardware.
- Architect, design, and implement software for industrial machines focused on performance, reliability, and security.
- Perform hands-on coding and provide technical guidance through code reviews and design discussions.
- Collaborate with product, hardware, and QA teams to ensure integration and functionality.
- Implement and refine lean and Agile development practices.
- Communicate technical concepts and project status to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required qualifications
- At least seven years of professional software development experience, including at least three years in technical leadership or management.
- Deep expertise in at least one of Rust, C++, Go, or Flutter.
- Hands-on experience with embedded systems or machine control applications, including PLC or HMI communication.
- A proven record of leading six or more software engineers.
- Strong understanding of Agile and lean development methodologies.
- Familiarity with multithreading, memory management, and real-time operating systems.
- Linux experience is required.
Preferred qualifications
- Flutter experience, especially for HMI development, is a plus.
- Ubuntu experience is nice to have.
