Role Summary
Lead the engineering team developing next-generation welding camera platforms, including stereo vision and 3D sensing systems.
Bridge technical leadership and team management while delivering rugged visual sensing technology for extreme welding environments.
Oversee the lifecycle from optical simulation and sensor selection through opto-electronic integration, firmware, and embedded platform optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary vision technology team.
- Drive stereo vision architecture, multi-camera calibration, baseline geometry, and active or passive 3D sensing systems.
- Oversee optical simulation, illumination design, custom lens selection, and sensor payload evaluation.
- Collaborate with AI and software teams on image fidelity, synchronization, data feeds, and real-time feature extraction.
- Execute calibration, characterization, thermal and vibration testing, and opto-mechanical validation for harsh environments.
- Manage laboratory equipment, prototyping budgets, vendors, and technical execution schedules.
- Standardize engineering practices, design reviews, optical assembly procedures, safety and EMC alignment, and documentation.
