Role: Snowflake Engineer Experience: 5–8 Years Location: Bangalore Employment Type: Full Time Job Summary We are looking for a skilled Snowflake Engineer with 5–8 years of experience in designing, developing, and optimizing cloud based data warehousing solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Snowflake, SQL, ETL/ELT pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). The role involves building scalable data solutions, improving performance, and supporting enterprise analytics and reporting requirements. Key Responsibilities . Design, develop, and maintain Snowflake data warehouse solutions. . Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion and transformation. . Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, tasks, and streams in Snowflake. . Implement data modeling techniques (star schema, snowflake schema, dimensional modeling). . Integrate data from multiple sources such as databases, APIs, files, and cloud storage. . Monitor and improve query performance, warehouse sizing, and cost optimization. . Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and reporting teams to deliver data solutions. . Ensure data quality, security, governance, and compliance standards are followed. . Support production deployments and troubleshoot data pipeline issues. . Participate in code reviews, documentation, and best practice initiatives. Required Skills . 5–8 years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Warehousing. . Strong hands on experience with Snowflake. . Excellent proficiency in SQL. . Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as ADF, Informatica, Matillion, DBT, Talend, or similar. . Good understanding of data modeling and warehousing concepts. . Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms. . Knowledge of Snowflake features: Tasks, Streams, Time Travel, Cloning, Data Sharing, and Stored Procedures. . Experience with performance tuning and cost optimization in Snowflake. . Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies. Preferred Skills . Experience with Python or PySpark. . Exposure to DBT and modern data stack architecture. . Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or other BI tools. . Understanding of data governance and metadata management. . Snowflake certification is a plus. Educational Qualification . Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Desired Candidate Profile . Experience working in enterprise scale data platforms is preferred.
