Role Overview
Halian is seeking an experienced, hands-on Snowflake Data Engineer to join its data team.
The role designs scalable data solutions supporting business intelligence, analytics, and reporting initiatives.
The position delivers reporting-ready datasets while supporting data quality, governance, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain end-to-end Snowflake data pipelines for enterprise analytics and reporting.
- Develop data models, transformations, views, stored procedures, and reporting-ready structures.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries and create Python solutions for ingestion, transformation, automation, and orchestration.
- Develop Dataiku ingestion pipelines using SharePoint, Salesforce, SFTP, and other source systems.
- Monitor pipelines, troubleshoot issues, address performance bottlenecks, and implement improvements.
- Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions with business users, analysts, and BI teams.
- Implement data governance, documentation, testing, version control, and operational support practices.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability across data platforms and processes.
- Support migration of ingestion and orchestration workloads to Azure Data Factory.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, data engineering, or a related field.
- Production experience as a Data Engineer, Snowflake Engineer, or in a similar role.
- Strong Snowflake expertise covering modeling, procedures, views, transformation, optimization, tuning, and reporting-ready architecture.
- Advanced SQL and strong Python programming skills.
- Enterprise-grade data pipeline and Dataiku experience.
- Experience integrating SharePoint, Salesforce, SFTP, and other enterprise systems.
- Knowledge of data quality, monitoring, logging, error handling, governance, metadata management, and cataloguing.
- Experience with source control and CI/CD for data engineering solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure Data Factory and familiarity with Microsoft Azure data services.
- Knowledge of modern orchestration and workflow management tools.
- Experience supporting large-scale analytics and reporting environments.
- Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies and DevOps practices.
