Position Summary
Slide Attendants monitor waterslide towers and dispatch areas, assist guests, and support a safe, organized, and enjoyable experience throughout the park’s attractions.
Essential Functions
Maintain surveillance of slide towers and dispatch areas.
Control slide flow and guest organization to ensure safe operations.
Respond to guest and employee emergencies and alert appropriate personnel.
Maintain proficiency in park knowledge, basic life support, and first aid skills.
Attend scheduled trainings and participate in regular skill audits.
Maintain cleanliness and safety of assigned areas.
Practice safe work habits, including proper lifting and hazard reporting.
Work effectively as part of a team.
Provide professional, friendly service to all guests.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to remain calm, recognize safety concerns, and make sound decisions.
- Willingness to comply with grooming guidelines and employment standards.
- Ability to successfully complete all legal, company, and departmental training requirements.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to bend, reach, climb stairs, and respond quickly to operational needs.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry equipment with or without reasonable accommodation.
Pre-Employment & Certification Requirements
- Employment in this position is contingent upon obtaining SGE Basic Life Support certification and completion of all required training programs.
- Hawaiian Falls hosts pre-employment certification classes at an approximate cost of $25, which covers the certification course.
