Responsibilities
- Perform network and system administration support, trusted agent operations, end user support, asset and device management
- Manage communications security and controlled cryptographic item management and maintenance
- Provide mobile device management and support including BES and CSfC devices
- Support users in electronic mail, account creation and maintenance, Active Directory and Group Policy management
- Troubleshoot and resolve network and system issues, including secure/non secure voice, video, data, and radio frequency cable infrastructure
- Schedule VTC sessions, debug VTC end points, and set up AV equipment
- Serve as alternate COMSEC custodian, maintain records, and submit accounting reports
Requirements
- DoD TS/SCI clearance required
- Eight (8) years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in computer systems, system administration, network engineering, and COMSEC operation
- Associate of Science degree in Information Technology, IT Security, Network Systems Technology, or related field (significant relevant experience may be considered in lieu)
- COMSEC Custodian Course completion
- DoDD 8570 IAT Level II AND CCNA AND MCSA AND Windows Server OR MCA certifications required

Job Description
- Peraton requires Deployed Communications Engineers to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3.
- Positions are located at SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill, AFB FL, and at TSOC and Component locations in the United States and abroad.
- The purpose is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, TSOCs, and deployed forces with O&M services.
Duties Include But Are Not Limited To
- Planning, scheduling, and executing small and large scale equipment upgrades.
- Troubleshooting, resolving, and optimizing network performance and related network problems.
- Troubleshooting hardware malfunctions on servers, server and PC blade chassis, SANs, desktop computers, laptops, analogue KVM switching systems, rack mount consoles and peripherals.
- Installing Operating System firmware, software, patches, and upgrades.
- Maintaining core datacenter infrastructure; following cabling and organization standards.
- Providing Systems Administrator (SA) support to systems hosting complex operational databases.
- Maintaining file servers, network access; documents, analyzes and troubleshoots systems anomalies.
- Performing system backups and recovery.
- Installing, removing, and relocating servers, server and PC blade chassis, switches, SAN equipment, desktop computers, analogue KVM switching equipment, rack mount consoles and peripherals.
- Scheduling, de conflicts, and coordinates VTC room usage.
- Supporting AV/VTC requirements for Command events and ceremonies.
- Providing basic troubleshooting and problem resolution in support of Mobile Device Hardware from multiple vendors.
Required Qualifications
- BS 5 7 Years, MS 3 5, PhD 0 2. Significant relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
- DoD TS/SCI clearance is required.
- Eight (8) years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in computer systems, system administration, network engineering, and COMSEC operation.
- Associate of Science degree in Information Technology, IT Security, Network Systems Technology, or related field.
