Role Purpose
Develop and maintain effective health, safety, and environmental programs.
Contribute to a workplace where employee health and safety are prioritized and environmental sustainability is a core value.
Strategic and People Leadership
- Cascade the HSSE strategy into operating plans and align it with interfacing departmental strategies.
- Lead the HSSE department through objective setting, performance management, staff development, and motivation.
- Lead talent development initiatives and promote organizational values, ethics, and accountability.
HSE Operations
- Develop, communicate, and implement HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Identify workplace hazards, assess risks, and implement strategies to prevent accidents.
- Develop and deliver training on safety practices, emergency response, and environmental protection.
- Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near-misses and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with internal departments, regulators, and industry groups on HSE initiatives.
Continuous Improvement and QHSE
- Lead continuous improvement and sustainability of HSSE systems, processes, and practices.
