Role purpose
Provide leadership, direction, and technical expertise across architectural design processes and construction projects.
Oversee designs, develop innovative solutions, follow best practices and regulations, and align delivery with project visions and requirements.
Team and stakeholder leadership
- Organize and supervise engineering team work and provide on-the-job training and constructive feedback.
- Monitor engineering financial performance against approved budgets and report variances.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to present designs, gather feedback, identify challenges, and provide design guidance.
- Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to source sustainable materials and products.
Design development and review
- Direct detailed plan development and establish engineering standards for architectural designs.
- Coordinate procurement of architectural services and materials with procurement and contracting departments.
- Guide VDC and BIM use for accurate and innovative design proposals.
- Oversee schematic designs, drawings, design changes, quality assurance checks, and design deliverables.
- Coordinate architectural, structural, mechanical, civil, and other engineering disciplines.
