Site Reliability Engineer

Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer Location : Any CGI location Experience : 5years Job Summary : We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our SRE Onboarding team. The ideal candidate will work closely with development teams, application team, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to onboard enterprise applications into the operational support model. The engineer will ensure applications are production ready by establishing monitoring, observability, operational documentation, incident response processes, and SRE best practices. The role requires strong knowledge of application architecture, cloud platforms, production support, automation, and modern observability tools. Key Responsibilities and Skills . 5 years of experience in production support, SRE, or application operations . Participate in application discovery and knowledge transfer sessions with application and support teams. . Assess application architecture, operational processes, dependencies, monitoring, and documentation. . Develop and maintain operational runbooks, playbooks, SOPs and Recovery Procedures . Configure, validate, and optimize monitoring, alerting, dashboards, logging and observability. . Support implementation of SRE best practices, including SLIs, SLOs, Error budget, incident management, and operational readiness. . Coordinate onboarding activities across multiple stakeholders while ensuring governance and project milestones are met. . Provide production support during onboarding and stabilization periods. . Identify opportunities for automation and continuous service improvement. . Drive service improvements through automation and operational excellence. . Participate in production incident management and root cause analysis. . Must have experience supporting applications built using one or more of NET Framework,.NET 8 ,ASP.NET,Python ,Python 3.x,Flask, . Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate across multiple teams
