Role Overview
The role is for a hands-on Site Engineer / Junior Project Manager with UAE interior fit-out and renovation experience who is ready to progress toward project management.
The position involves independently managing day-to-day site activities, subcontractors, materials, quality, reports, programmes, measurements, drawing coordination, inspections, snagging, and timely completion.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Candidates must have three to six years of hands-on Site Engineer experience in the UAE interior fit-out or renovation industry, including at least three years of UAE experience.
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Dubai Municipality G+1 certification, a valid UAE driving licence, and an own vehicle are mandatory.
- Candidates without UAE fit-out or renovation experience, the required licence, and an own vehicle will not be considered.
Site and Technical Responsibilities
- Supervise daily fit-out and renovation works according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Take site measurements, communicate existing conditions, review drawings, identify discrepancies, and coordinate solutions.
- Inspect finishing works, coordinate inspections, and ensure snags are closed promptly.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and multiple trades to maintain project progress.
- Monitor project schedules, material deliveries, and site logistics.
- Assist with procurement, material planning, resource allocation, progress updates, and project status communication.
Project Management
- Communicate with consultants regarding site progress and requirements.
- Support the Senior Project Manager with project timelines, costs, and deliverables.
- Gradually take ownership of assigned projects from planning through completion.
Other Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with interior finishing works.
- Ability to read and understand architectural, interior, and MEP drawings.
- Good knowledge of UAE and Dubai construction requirements and strong communication skills.
- English is required and Arabic is preferred.
