About the Role
The Junior Procurement and Materials Coordinator will support procurement and materials coordination for interior design and fit-out projects.
The role works with the Decor and Materials Specialist on sourcing, quotation management, supplier follow-up, documentation, and procurement coordination.
The position is intended for an organized, proactive entry-level candidate developing experience in procurement, materials, and interior fit-out.
Supplier and Procurement Support
- Contact suppliers for quotations, product information, availability, and lead times based on project requirements.
- Review quotations for quantities, specifications, dimensions, finishes, pricing, and missing information, then coordinate corrections.
- Follow up with suppliers on quotations, availability, and delivery status.
- Research new material suppliers and assist with comparing quotations and identifying suitable options.
- Request supplier invoices and supporting documents and share them with the Accounts team.
- Maintain organized quotation and procurement-related records.
Material Coordination
- Prepare and update project material lists and specifications, including descriptions, quantities, and prices.
- Research material characteristics and product alternatives based on project requirements.
- Request and coordinate material samples and occasionally collect samples and small purchases from local suppliers.
- Maintain supplier catalogues, pricelists, and technical data sheets.
- Source product images and material information for moodboards and client presentations.
- Organize the physical material library by labelling and categorizing samples.
Requirements
- The role is for entry-level candidates with 1–2 years of hands-on procurement experience in the UAE interior fit-out or renovation industry.
- A valid UAE driver's license and own vehicle are required.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, supplier follow-up, and accuracy are required.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn are expected.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is required.
- Knowledge of interior materials, finishes, furniture, and design is advantageous.
- English is required.
