Shoe Technician
A **Shoe Technician** is responsible for repairing, maintaining, customizing, and improving footwear.
They work with different types of shoes such as sports shoes, leather shoes, safety boots, and luxury footwear using specialized tools and materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect damaged or worn footwear and identify repair needs
- Repair soles, heels, stitching, zippers, and insoles
- Clean, polish, and restore shoes to good condition
- Replace shoe parts such as laces, eyelets, and padding
- Operate shoe repair machines and hand tools safely
- Customize footwear according to customer requirements
- Ensure quality control and durability of repairs
- Maintain inventory of repair materials and equipment
- Provide customer service and explain repair options
Required Skills
- Knowledge of shoe construction and materials
- Handcraft and stitching skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to use repair machinery and tools
- Basic problem-solving abilities
- Time management and customer service skills
Qualifications
- Experience in shoe repair or leatherwork preferred
