Job Description

• Provide consistent, professional service of all food and beverage offerings in accordance with hotel SOPs and brand standards.
• Ensure a smooth flow of daily operations and support the Supervisor in meeting service quality and guest satisfaction goals.
• Act as a liaison between the kitchen and the service team to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
• Maintain a strong presence on the floor, anticipating guest needs and ensuring a warm, engaging, and efficient dining experience.
• Confidently handle guest inquiries, comments, or complaints with a solutions-focused and proactive approach.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards across the dining area and service stations.
• Use POS systems (e.g., Micros) efficiently for order-taking and billing processes; handle cash and credit transactions in line with company procedures.
• Monitor product quality and communicate any inconsistencies to the Supervisor or Chef.
• Consistently apply upselling techniques to enhance the guest experience and maximize revenue.
• Assist in daily and weekly inventory checks and ensure proper storage and stock levels of operating equipment and supplies.
• Support the bar operations when required.
• Attend pre-shift briefings, team meetings, and training sessions as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a 5-star hotel or upscale restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards and guest service.
• Passionate host who enjoys making people feel welcome.
• Experience with POS systems and handling guest requests and complaints.
• Friendly, open personality and enjoy interacting with guests and colleagues.
• Reliable, organised and keep a cool head, even during busy breakfast service.
• True team player with a hands-on mentality and a positive attitude.
• Communicate confidently in English.
